Haircut!

I've been saying for a while that I am going to cut my hair, but then I always chicken out. Well, I finally got sick of it last week and just did it. It's a fun change. My hair grows so fast that I figured if I don't like it, it will be back in a few months anyway. Here's a pic.

It's a Girl!!!

About a week and a half ago we had our 20-week ultrasound-- the exciting one!  Going into the ultrasound, Dave asked the lady, "How often do the babies not show their sex?"  The lady said, "Oh, they always do."  We were anxious to find out and as she took her time measuring the babies' head and bones, we were dying inside for her to just tell us what it was first!  Finally she starts looking.  Well, I have to say, we have a stubborn little girl on our hands already!  As the lady started looking for either a profile picture or what sex it was, the baby just put her head down and locked her legs shut!  She did NOT want us to see what she was or see a profile picture (camera-shy I guess).  The nurse was like, "hmm..."  She tried and tried and the baby would just not move.  She was sort of eating her words that all babies show, so she started to push on my belly in all places trying to make the baby uncomfortable so that she would move.  After a while of her not moving, I even started to suck in and out and moved around trying to get her to move.  FINALLY she did.  She rolled over for us to get a pretty good profile shot and just enough for us to find out that it is a girl. :)  We couldn't be happier.
We made some cute little Father's Day cards to break the news to our families.  Over the past few months we have talked about names, and the only girl name that ever stuck was Peyton.  We have thought of others, but for some reason, we just know that she is a Peyton.  She is on schedule to be born on October 29th and for right now is in the 38th percentile for size. The doctor said, that is just right for right now.  :)

Profile picture of her head, belly and legs.

3D picture of her little face. (lower left-hand-corner)

Her spinal column and skeletal structure. I think it's cool-- seriously just amazing!

Tea-Party!

Dave's Grandma Connie throws a granddaughter's tea-party every year for all the girls in the family.  This was my first tea-party. :)  She goes all out planning the tea-party pretty much all year long and bakes yummy treats for like 3 days straight.  It was fabulous. We ate treats, played games with fun prizes, ate treats again, chit-chatted, received some surprises, ate more treats... it was a great day.
This year had a theme of Alice in Wonderland's "Mad-Hatter's Tea-Party."  It was a fun idea. There was a crazy hat contest and this is what the Bailey girls all wore.  It was so much fun!
From left-to-right we have:
Anna-- the "unbirthday girl." She actually didn't mind wearing it either!
Linda-- her hat was made of cards (Dave made it-- impressive huh?)
Me-- from the caterpillar that had the Chinese lanterns (from Taiwan)
Lauren-- She had a tea-party on her hat! So funny!
Kiley-- Her's was awesome-- it looked like it was made out of bubbles. :)
Tasha-  Her's won the contest. It had a "painting the roses red" theme.

Dave's Fly-Fishing Passion

Dave has found a new passion-- fly fishing.  He has gotten so into it lately.  For his birthday he got a new Sage rod that he puts above the mantel on our bed.  I even caught him giving it a kiss goodnight one night!  I just laugh.  I actually love this new hobby of his. I have went with him a few times and just sit and watch from the bank. It's so relaxing for both of us.  This is a big one that he caught at Henry's Fork a few weeks ago.

Easter 2009

Well, we finally got a week long break from school and work and everything else stressful in life. So we took the time to visit my family.  We hadn't been down to my house since Christmas break, so it was good to hang out with the family again. We did pretty much everything--rode four-wheelers, shot guns, painted and rolled easter eggs, ate way too much good food, watched movies, played games till we couldn't take anymore...  It was a great week!
This picture is sort of a tradition.  We always jump at the top of the rolling hill. My dad has become quite professional at snapping the photo at just the right time--years of practice I guess.  Millie is in this photo.  We LOVE taking her with us because she chases our eggs down the hill, picks them up in her mouth, then buries them in the sand! It is so funny to watch. She does it EVERY year.  I just love that goofy dog. :)
Easter Eggs... I have to admit, mine and Dave's were probably the ugliest this year.  We spent a total of five minutes on ours while everyone else spent at least an hour because we were visiting Janel and Karl. Oh well. We just rolled them down a hill anyway!

Sitting on top of the hill getting ready to roll our easter eggs.  It was a whole new experience for Wes and something Dave still hasn't come to fully comprehend.  But we love it!

Dave and I got all muddy on the four-wheeler riding in the hills. It was so cold so Dave wouldn't let me stay outside to help wash it off either. So he spent like 30 minutes in the cold spraying the clay and mud off by himself. He is so sweet. :)

The Easter Bunny!!!
