2 years since my mission

Sunday May 30th marked my 2 year anniversary since my mission in Uruguay. It's incredible the way that time flies. I got married, had a baby, and graduated since returning home! I think about my mission all the time and miss it so much. I still stay in contact with quite a few people from the mission. I think that it was the fastest, most spiritual, greatest learning, most difficult, hardest working, most blessed 19 months of my life! I will forever be grateful for the things I learned on my mission. Uruguay is an amazing country full of amazing people. This Thursday I get to go out with the sister missionaries here in Georgia and I can't wait! I know I can't re-live my mission, but I am so excited to sit in a real lesson again and share my testimony. There is sort of a "spiritual high" you get when sharing your testimony to someone who is just gaining their own. Watching the gospel change someone's life is one of the most amazing things in the world. :)

Doing service for Yara and Olga who eventually were baptized. They had a jungle in their backyard and we tore it down, built a ditch for water to steer away from their house, and made room for a garden!

After a huge rainstorm, my shoes weren't put in the sun to dry, and the humidity did this to them! Gross huh?

Ah, one of my favorite families. This is Milton, Jessica, Hna. Phillips, Gissel, Mateo and me. Milton quit smoking, they started going to church, they got married, and were baptized. They were an AMAZING family! I love them so much.

This was my biggest baptism. We had two families get baptized. The boy on the far left got baptized before his mom, then jumped into the water when she was about to be baptized and said, "Ma ma! You have to plug your nose like this!" I at first covered my face, then just burst out laughing. I know it wasn't reverent, but I think Heavenly Father even laughed upstairs. Ezekiel is just that way. :)

EaStEr!!!

Sorry this is so late, but I thought these pictures were too cute not to share. :) This was Peyton's first Easter. The Easter bunny brought her an Easter dress, some books, and an outfit. But guess what her favorite thing was? The empty Easter eggs... She can't have candy so I just put them in the basket for looks and she ended up having a hay-day with them.
Dave laughed at me as I put it all together. He said, "Why don't you just give the stuff to her. You don't need to get a basket and make it all cute. She'll never even remember this!" But I think this Easter was maybe for me than for her. I had so much fun finding her cute stuff and hiding it until Easter and stuff. (I know I may be a little bit dorky, but oh well. Can't wait until Christmas!!!)
